Open Positions

Command Division

The Command Staff is made up of the Commanding Officer, the Executive Officer, and other designated members relating to the handling of unit command such as Executive Officers, Yeoman, Etc.  The Command Division is primarily responsible for conducting the meetings, reviewing the membership rolls for promotions, awards and overseeing the unit activities either directly or by appropriate delegation.  The Command Division also compromises the ships Executive Committee.

Second Officer

Colonel Christopher Bayonet

The Second Officer serves as third in command of the vessel.  The Second Officer runs the Command Department with the Executive Officer overseeing.  All Departments report to the Second Officer, and the Second Officer reports to the XO as final authority.  Requirements for this position include Membership in STARFLEET International and Officer's Training School completion, recommended courses would be Officer's Command College and Flag Officer's School.  Minimum Rank for this position will be Lieutenant/Marine Captain.

Third Officer

The Third Officer is our Chief of Staff.  The Third Officer is the Executive Assistant of the Commanding Officer.  The Executive Assistant will relay the orders of the Executive Staff within the Command Division to the Department Heads.  Requirements for this position include Membership in STARFLEET International and Officer's Training School completion, recommended courses would be Officer's Command College and Flag Officer's School.  Minimum Rank for this position will be Lieutenant/Marine Captain.

Chief of Services

 

The Chief of Services will perform particular duties as the Commanding Officer may assign.  Requirements for this position include Membership in STARFLEET International and Officer's Training School completion, recommended course is the Officer's Command College.  Minimum Rank for this position will be Lieutenant J.G./First Lieutenant.

Chief of Cadets

Petty Officer First Class Thelma Anderson*

The Chief of Cadets also known as Cadet Liaison Officer is responsible for all cadet activity within the chapter.  The Chief of Cadets is here to make sure that all cadets are treated equally, with fairness, dignity, and respect. The Chief of Cadets serves as the voice of the cadets, making sure that our activities will also have cadet involvement.  The Chief of Cadets can also make up their own promotion scale, and forward their promotion recommendations to the Executive Officer. Requirements for this position include Membership in STARFLEET International and Officer's Training School completion, recommended course is the Officer's Command College.  Minimum Rank for this position will be Lieutenant J.G./First Lieutenant.

Chief of Helm

 

The Chief of Helm is responsible for providing itinerary and navigational information for all ships away missions.  The Chief of Helm will also provide navigational information to the ships current location to all ships personnel and to other ships in fleet or to STARFLEET upon request with the approval of the ships Commanding Officer or Executive Officer.  The Chief of Helm will work in conjunction with the Chiefs of Operations and Navigations.  Requirements for this position include Membership in STARFLEET International and Officer's Training School completion, recommended course is the Officer's Command College.  Minimum Rank for this position will be Ensign/Second Lieutenant.

Operations Division

The Operations Division is primarily responsible for activity planning and away missions. The Division also coordinates all unit activities with the ship sections to ensure smooth ship operations.

Chief of Operations

The Chief of Operations, or OPS, is the person with whom new members should have the most contact during their first days aboard. OPS is responsible for the Orientation of new members, and Strategic Operations is responsible for the retention of all members. Together, these two positions make up our recruiting tools.  Requirements for this position include Membership in STARFLEET International and Officer's Training School completion, recommended course is the Officer's Command College.  Minimum Rank for this position will be Lieutenant J.G./First Lieutenant.

Chief of Engineering

Marine Captain Kenneth C. Gifford, III

The Chief of Engineering is in charge of the fabrication of props when we visit a Regional or Fleet Event.  The Chief of Engineering will also be responsible for maintenance and set up of ships property.  Requirements for this position include Membership in STARFLEET International and Officer's Training School completion, recommended course is the Officer's Command College.  Minimum Rank for this position will be Lieutenant J.G./First Lieutenant.

Chief of Navigation

Ensign JG Megan Bayonet*

The Chief of Navigation responsibilities are to find and document navigational information for all away missions and coordinate with the Chief of Helm.  Requirements for this position include Membership in STARFLEET International and Officer's Training School completion, recommended course is the Officer's Command College.  Minimum Rank for this position will be Lieutenant J.G./First Lieutenant.

Chief of Communications

 

The Chief of Communications is responsible for making our presence known to other vessels by Online communications, newsletters, chat groups, and whatever other method is readily available.  Communications also designs our handbooks, promotion certificates, and other paraphernalia distributed to our members as well as maintaining website(s).  Requirements for this position include Membership in STARFLEET International and Officer's Training School completion, recommended course is the Officer's Command College.  Minimum Rank for this position will be Lieutenant J.G./First Lieutenant.

Chief of Security

The Chief of Security maintains the ship's security systems, tactical systems, and offensive/defensive measures. The Chief of Security is responsible for keeping the Command Department up to date on all foreign weaponry, including new technology of enemy species, weapon overhauls, and maintenance.  During away missions, regulations state there will be one security officer for every Command Line Officer sent into a dangerous mission.  Security officers are also called upon during delegations to act as body guards for visiting dignitaries, including other races.  The Chief of Security will also plan and coordinate security on away missions and conventions.  Requirements for this position include Membership in STARFLEET International and Officer's Training School completion, recommended course is the Officer's Command College and Security Courses offered at the Academy.  Minimum Rank for this position will be Lieutenant J.G./First Lieutenant.

Sciences Division

The Science Division is responsible for Charities and providing articles on the Sciences in both fiction and non-fiction related areas.

Chief of Sciences

 

The Chief of Sciences is to keep the crew updated on specific charities within their areas, and if any one participates in a charity, that person sends their information into the Chief of Science who then includes it in his/her reports.  The Chief of Sciences is charged with researching all things Scientific, from spatial anomalies to space-time vortexes, from planetary to physical, chemical to zoological, this is the department that has all of the answers.  Requirements for this position include Membership in STARFLEET International and Officer's Training School completion, recommended course is the Officer's Command College.  Minimum Rank for this position will be Lieutenant J.G./First Lieutenant.

Chief of Medical

 

The Chief of Medical may be involved in real Medical concerns such as keeping track of the medical conditions of the crew for referral in a medical crisis.  The Chief of Medical may involve training in CPR or other medically related matters.  The Chief of Medical may be involved in writing articles for newsletters pertaining to the real medical field.  Requirements for this position include Membership in STARFLEET International and Officer's Training School completion, recommended course is the Officer's Command College.  Minimum Rank for this position will be Lieutenant J.G./First Lieutenant.

Military Division

Marine Strike Group OIC

 

The Marine Strike Group (MSG) OIC is the STARFLEET Marine Corps leader on our ship.  The MSG is the ground forces of Fleet and can act independently on away missions.  Although a MSG may act independently they are still under the ultimate authority of the Commanding Officer.  Requirements for this position include Membership in STARFLEET International and Officer's Training School completion as well as Professional Development (PD) level 10 through the SFMC Academy, recommended course is the Officer's Command College and Security Courses offered at the Academy.  Minimum Rank for this position will be Lieutenant/Marine Captain.

Special Operations OIC

Colonel Christopher Bayonet

The Special Operations (SpecOps) OIC is the Leader of a quick reaction force that can be anywhere in the Alpha Quadrant in less than 24 hours and can conduct missions via ground, sea, air or space!  The basic missions include Covert Operations, Intelligence Gathering, Reconnaissance and Sensitive Technology testing, as well as other duties deemed necessary by Commander, STARFLEET.  Requirements for this position include Membership in STARFLEET International and Officer's Training School completion, recommended course is the Officer's Command College.  Minimum Rank for this position will be Ensign/Second Lieutenant.

 

There are many more job openings within each Division.  Qualified members will receive promotions to the minimum ranks for department head positions if not already attained.
